LOVELY FOR RESTING AND EXPLORING KISUMU AREA

Peaceful, friendly and luxurious experience for an African hotel. Price was not bad, and the quality/price ration was better than excellent. We stayed in Kisumu for a few days and took a hiking tour to the Kakamega rain forest. We rested after months of hard work before visiting friends in bungoma and giving a workshop for pre-school teachers.

UNEXPECTED GEM

The Sovereign Hotel was our "home base" in Kenya as we came to and from other parts of our trip. We had three separate, short stays over three weeks. The facilities have interesting architecture and are very well maintained. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious, clean and interesting. I'm guessing that there are about 25 rooms.

The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood a short drive to the city center and quite close to the West End Mall.

HIDDEN GEM IN KISUMU

This charming boutique hotel in Milimani is a hidden gem that truly exceeded my expectations. I had the pleasure of spending a few serene days here to relax and recharge, and I found myself drawn in by the stunning photos and glowing reviews. The staff greeted us with warmth and hospitality, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.

For me, this place felt like a true home away from home. I would definitely recommend it and am already looking forward to my next visit!

GREAT LOCATION

Second time staying at this peacful, safe and quiet hotel in a lovely location just on the edge of town.

We stayed 4 nights and came back for 2 more later in our stay. Unfortunately the first room allocated (lake view) the water did not heat on the first day, after some attention by the maintenance staff it did warm (slightly) but again next day it was cold. Immediately owning the issue the staff reallocated another room and dealt with the transfer without any fuss. The already friendly staff went out of the way to enquire every day after that if everything was ok

GREAT PLACE TO STAY WITH EXCELLENT STAFF AT EVERY LEVEL

Wonderful hotel. Very large rooms and spotlessly clean. Every staff member was extremely friendly and efficient. Good bar and the food we had was very good. Walking distance to Hippo point and the Eco lodge. Quiet area so we slept very well. It’s my second time there
